Privacy.

Your information deserves a clear explanation.

Who is responsible.

Balt Dev EIRL, based in Peru, operates baltdev.tech and develops Hogger. This notice covers our company website, contact enquiries, and the Hogger service while it is in development.

For questions or requests about your information, contact hello@baltdev.tech.

When you visit this website.

This is a static website. We do not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, account registration, or contact forms. Fonts and visual assets are served from our own website.

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the site. It processes technical connection information, such as your IP address, requested pages, browser information, and request timing, to deliver content and maintain security. Its handling of information is described in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

When you follow a link to an external service, such as GitHub or WhatsApp, that service’s privacy practices apply.

When you contact us.

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your enquiry, discuss requested work, provide support, or handle your privacy request.

Share only the information needed for your enquiry. You can request deletion of your correspondence by contacting us at the same address.

Information used by Hogger.

Hogger is preparing for a closed beta and is not yet publicly available. If you participate in a private test, the service may process the following information you provide through WhatsApp:

  • Your WhatsApp identifier and phone number, to associate messages and cases with you.
  • Messages, voice recordings, photographs, and locations submitted for a lost-pet report or sighting.
  • Pet details, report status, publication choices, and other information needed to manage your case.
  • Technical service records used to operate, troubleshoot, and protect the service.

This information is used to create and manage reports, compare reports with sightings, send service updates, and support the reporting experience.

Public reports and providers.

Hogger’s reporting flow asks you to review and approve a report before it is published. Approved report content can be viewed by others and shared outside Hogger. Public report pages are designed to exclude your phone number and precise location coordinates. Avoid including private information in a photograph or description you approve for sharing.

Hogger uses Meta’s WhatsApp services for messaging, Amazon Web Services for hosting and storage, and OpenAI for processing tasks such as interpreting submitted information, transcribing audio, and describing images. Information needed for those tasks may be processed by these providers outside Peru.

Relevant provider policies: WhatsApp, AWS, and OpenAI.

Keeping and deleting information.

Information is retained to support the purposes described in this notice, operate and secure the service, and meet applicable obligations. Retention depends on the kind of information, whether a case remains active, and operational requirements.

During a Hogger test, case controls are available under “Ver mis casos” → “Datos del caso”, including “Exportar mis datos” and “Eliminar caso”. You can also contact us about access, correction, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify that a request relates to your account before acting on it.

Deleting a report from Hogger cannot remove copies that other people have already shared or saved outside the service.

Changes and questions.

We may update this notice as Hogger develops or our practices change. The date above identifies this version. Material service changes will be reflected in the notice before they apply to public use.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@baltdev.tech with “Privacy request” in the subject.
